ES1-111M-C5PH / installing absent psb sata connector

Any Acer community thoughts on pcb SATA connector models which can be installed in an ES1-111M-C5PH cleanly and at the correct angle.

I'd like to install a hard drive in my ES1-11M-C5PH which shipped with a eMMC32gb preinstalled, unfortunately there is no connector present on the PCB to upgrade.

Nothing wrong with the computer apart from the limitations of not having more than 32gb and an absent hard drive connector.

There is a thread which details a workaround but there must be a model number for one that fits snug, or if anybody has access to one which is open and check if a serial number for a connector is visible on the actual installed headers.

Thoughts and help appreciated

Unfortunately its not I've checked. I have a reference connector model from another video which is 47018-4001, although I'm unsure if its the ideal connector as pins need to be bent from what I understand. Also by the looks of the 47018-4001 I'm not sure how it will mate with the pcb (not psb lol)

I thought there maybe someone with another parts reference at least to cross-reference with the one I have?

The other obstacle that I face if I can get a suitable connector is de-soldering the via's which have been flowed with solder. Don't have a problem with doing larger smd stuff and through hole soldering but I 'suck' at removing solder especially on boards with multiple layers

I'd like to actually do something with this laptop as the size is nice but being stuck with the 32gb drive and 2gb of ram is a pain in the 'acer'. Minimum will be to upgrade the ram I guess.

I will call colleagues @billsey and @JackE to visit this topic. Now, the problem is not exactly the soldering of the sata connector. The problem is whether the bios will recognize the new connector.
