Hello,
I bought an Acer 21.5 inch monitor last year. Today i noticed some pixels were looking like being dead. What is strange is that when looking closely, it looks like the pixels are partially affected. On the left side it looks like a stripe. Are they dead, or could be stuck ? May be covered by warranty ?

Each of the pixels is actually made up of multiple bits of color that light shines through. That image looks like one of those bits is stuck in opaque mode. I don't believe the warranty covers it unless you have more than some threshold amount, like a certain number of them within an area. There are some software utilities that do fast changes to the pixels that will sometimes unstick them though.

The problem was completely solved by applying pressure on that specific area, and by massaging it for a few minutes. It recovered completely. Thanks for the answer! I hope it won't come again.
