Acer - Helios 300 17.3" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti - 512GB SSD. Here is the model number also PH317-53-71D6.

I just got the laptop a cpuple of weeks ago and right out of the box I turned it on and then loaded a few games to test it. Instantly I was getting about 154 frames on overwatch on highest settings. After playing overwatch for a couple weeks i decided to play Warzone with some friends. I was told by Activizions launcher battlenet, that I needed to download the latest driver update to play it. My friends told me to open up Geforce Experience and update the drivers. I did and i downloaded the latest, however I didnt download the notebook version of the 1660ti and instead downloaded the non notebook one. I didnt think anything of it, because the game worked. Well a couple days later I tried loading up overwatch and now im only getting 80-100 frames a game for some reason, sometimes it goes to 60. I have no idea why it is doing this. This was my first time playing it since I updated the drivers. Is it possibly because I didnt download the notebook version and the new driver update is bottle necking it? Im new to gaming laptops and gaming computers in general, so any help would be appreciated. Also the laptop wasn't be used that much that day. I only played warzone for about 4 hours earlier that day and gave me laptop about a 6 hour break in sleep mode. So it had plenty of time to rest. One more thing the fan speed was custom upped by me so the thermal never reached about 85 on the cpu. Im not to sure about the gpu because i didnt check it that much, but i assume it was around 70 or 75. It could be lower than that, im not to sure.

I should've elaborated and worded this much better. However to make things simple, I think i downloaded the wrong driver update and is this the reason for my recent frame drops? Read the post for the description. This is just a simplified version if you are confused.

Clean uninstalling and installing gpu driver may solve your issue

Download DDU(display driver uninstaller) and download nvidia 1660 Ti (notebook) nvidia software from my link (just select your gpu details don't forget to select gtx 1660ti (notebook))
    https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

After downloading save both nvidia software and ddu program in download folder now, boot in safe mode then run DDU program→select GPU→clean and restart

After restart you will boot in normal mode
Now, install that nvidia software→after installation restart your laptop

I did all of that exactly as you said and even watched some tutorials online for help. The fram rate is still about the same. I also noticed that the frames are throttling a bit. For example ill get 80 and it will constantly be dipping down to the 60s and then back up. It was doing this before i wiped the drivers and put the correct driver update on it and its still doing it. Should i try a factory reset of my laptop or should i just try letting my laptop "cool off" for a bit and check back up on it tomorrow?
