VIX was disabled in my original BIOS 1.1 but is now enabled with VID in 1.18, I believe VID stands for Video and VIX for Intel VT-X (virtualization mode processor) but I am not sure. I have a 10th gen. i7 10510U and according to Intel it does not support VT-X, can anyone confirm if I should disable "VIX"? Insyde e-mailed me back that I should ask ACER support about VID and VIX (as they don't know). Where can I find a user guide on BIOS 1.18 for Acer Aspire5 A515-54G or do I have to post in this community when I have a question about my BIOS (settings)? The generic User Guide for my laptop does not mention any BIOS setting, how to make a rescue disk, how to find the W10 product Key for upgrading W10 (or refresh W10 if BSOD), how to boot/recover if BOSD or even what is inside my laptop (to upgrade), I got completely wrong information from the local Acer support here about my model (DDR4 can be upgraded to "32 GB") that lead me to buy the wrong DDR4 modules.
May I suggest that someone starts posting Tutorials like they have on W10 Forums. With the 100s of different "flavors" for each Acer series all over the world that may not be feasible but general issues like BIOS, RAID-RST vs. AHCI, memory incl. Optane, things I went through the past 2 months after I bought my Aspire5 could be a beginning. I may be able to help with "Maintenance of W10 1909 x64 Home" (already started something).
