CocenptD 9 Pro - Upgrading Memory and Hard Disks

So I want to buy a ConceptD 9 Pro, and I was looking into upgrading it a bit more to more fit my demands while traveling.

I would love to upgrade the memory with 2X32GB, but in the spec sheet, it says it has a limitation of 32GB.

Is that limitation there because the slots are already full, or is that a hard-wired restriction?

And if I can upgrade it with two new slices of RAM, which RAM would you advise on buying?

Also, I saw that it has two m2 slots, and the version in my country runs just one 1TB WD m2 SSD, could I just add any other m2 disk in the other slot?

I'm guessing it is an 80mm sized slot right?

To summarize, can I upgrade the RAM and HD's of the ConceptD 9 Pro and with which parts can I do that?

Guess I'm stuck with the memory then.

What I don't yet completely understand is the storage, I see that you highlight the difference between the two storages, but I don't understand them?

The slot that I marked in red, accepts ssd m2 2280 sata 3 and nvme. The other location accepts only ssd m2 2280 nvme.

You might have to take it out of RAID mode to use a second drive of a different size.

Hey CorenBrasser!

I just got the conceptd9 pro too and 1tb seemed a bit tight for my work files so I was thinking of doing this exact same upgrade. How'd it go for you? Besides for normal drive installation, was there anything special you had to do? Like log into BIOS and disable raid 0? Or did it all just pretty much plug and play like a normal drive (install it and then format it in windows and apply a drive letter).

Hey Risc, I haven't had a chance to unpack the laptop yet since I'm still abroad.

In a week or two, I can finally get my hands on it, I'll keep you posted if I had a chance to play with it!

Well, I gave it a go, and it worked like a charm.

I added a secondary m2.SSD, I bought the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB, and there was a slot open for it.

The disassembly was quick, comfortable with only a bit of force while wiggling the top off.
I used this video as a reference and only needed to disassemble the top, the wire over the SSD heatsink, and the heatsink itself.
