Whats the proper way to underclock the Nvidia 1060 on my Helios 300 PH315-52??

How do you properly underclock the video card? I feel my laptop is getting too hot and I don't mind to run it alot slower.

There are like 3 different programs to use right? which is the proper program to use?

Can go with msi afterburner. Make sure not to click the apply on startup button unless you know your changes are stable else you have to boot into safe mode to undo it.  It's good because changes are done on the fly, you can even over/underclock while playing a game.
