Concerned about battery life

Hi,

I recently bought a new ACER Predator Triton 500 PT515-51 laptop I7 8750h 2070 q max 16gb laptop and I have been loving it, however, I noticed recently that the battery seems to be reducing quickly at the rate of about 1% per minute.  Correct me if I am wrong but I am sure somewhere it stated I could get up to 8 hours battery life, now I am not expecting that at all but the battery appears to be reducing at 1% per minute despite only browsing lightly roughly 50% brightness with no external peripherals and no extra apps running, fans are running silently as normal so no extra load and the cpu gpu have little to no load. 

Anybody know if this is normal?

I have the same problem, my triton 500 used to last 5 - 7 hours depending on use. Now it lasts 2 hours just sitting on the desktop, that's undervolted and with a complete factory restore. I've also calibrated the battery which made no difference, and the fans no longer turn off when idle like they used to.

it is a little complicated to state the battery life, because it depends on thousands of factors, such as:

a) if the notebook is configured in economy mode and if the battery saver is activated;

b) if batteryboost is activated in the geforce experience;

c) whether windows are optimized to save energy.

d) there are several other factors, such as the display brightness, whether wireless and bluetooth is enabled or not.
