Hi,
My laptop is an Aspire E5-521-68N4 (it also has Aspire E 15 written near the model number, so not sure if it matters). When I search out a RAM (want to upgrade RAM to 16GB) in Amazon I unable to find an exact model match the best I have seen is E5-521-68NT and when I state it as Aspire E 15 E5-521 (can't even get close to using the 68N4) the closest match I get is Aspire E 15 E5-523 series. Can someone help with what I might be getting wrong or how to go about addressing this. I would like to upgrade to 16GB RAM, SSD drive and if possible a higher processor as well. Any help is most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Your laptop is an Aspire E5-521 don't worry about the last 68N4 digits as that doesn't matter, or make a difference. The specs are that the  Aspire E5-521 can take max mem of 16GB it has 2 slots (2 banks of 1) removable ram and comes with standard mem of 4GB or 8GB removable ram.

DDR3 and DDR3L-1600 SODIMM to DDR3L-1866 SODIMM of 2GB,  4GB and 8GB the best for you is to buy a 2x8GB kit of DDR3L-1866 SODIMM as that is the fastest ram that your mainboard and chipset can handle. Also try and put an SSD drive into this laptop as that will improve performance also.
