Acer A515-54-51DJ RAM Question
I recently decided to upgrade the RAM on my Acer A515-54-51DJ to 20gb by using a 16gb RAM stick. Previous threads on this site, as well as most information elsewhere has implied that my laptop has 8gb, with 4gb being replaceable and 4gb being soldered to the motherboard. When I replaced the RAM today I found that instead of having 4gb of replaceable memory, the laptop was running off a full 8gb of replaceable memory, which seems to cap my RAM at 16gb, rather than the 20gb specified in every other thread. Was the way the laptop is manufactured changed so that 4gb is no longer soldered?
