Hello,

I have a Aspire V3-731-4823 running Win10.
There are 2 USB on Left and 2 USB on Right.

Issue: 1 USB closest to Screen on Right hand side does not connect/register/sense. It does however provide power to charge.

I have diagnosed that the other 3 USB ports all connect/register/sense and provide power. I used a cell phone and a wireless mouse dongle to diagnose this.

What can I do to fix the one USB port to connect/register/sense in addition to provide power?
I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software switch or what the problem is.

Please help and advise.

Thanks

Try right clicking on the controller device driver with the yellow warning. Then click on 'uninstall'. Then exit DeviceManager without reinstalling anything. Then shutdown Windows. Then turn it back on. Check DeviceManager again for any red or yellow warnings. If none, the port should be back to accepting data again. Jack E/NJ

The two USB ports on the right are USB2. The left two are blue colored USB3. They are all simple data ports and supply some power. Open DeviceManager. If there are no red or yellow warning symbols, the machine will probably have to be disassembled and the i/o board cable reseated on the mainboard to fix the one port. Jack E/NJ

    you were correct.

There was one with a yellow warning.
I have attached all tabs related to the one with a warning.

Can you advise what I should do next please and thank you in advance.
