Acer E5-721 wont boot

So i have an acer E5-721 and when i disconnect the battery the machine will start and display a screen that says critically low battery then it will shut off, but when i connect my battery it wont do anything atall. So i purchased a new battery which i received in the mail today but to my surprise i plug this battery in and it does the exact same thing as what my battery does which is absolutely nothing! Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
