Is the G276HL (Gbid) monitor equipped with speakers?

I got this monitor a few years ago for use with a system in which I already had a satisfactory setup for audio. It totally escaped my notice at the time that it supposedly has built-in speakers; a detail I didn't even realise until I recently replaced my desktop (with a Lenovo Thinkcenter) and set about setting everything up from scratch. My understanding is that the audio reaches the monitor via its HDMI connection, however I have had no luck so far. I'm now wondering whether this model only "looks" like it includes speakers due to the inclusion of a port for an audio 3.5mm plug. I've also noticed that the monitor's OSD has no visible guiding arrow beneath the graphic for volume adjustment.
I've wondered if this might either be because there's actually no speakers in this model, or that perhaps I've somehow not configured the sound in my Win10 correctly. So far I haven't found any definitive online information whether this model is truly equipped for audio or not. Does anyone have any thoughts, information, or suggestions?

Thanks for the message. The S/N begins MMLW9AA007, and the P/N is UM.HG6AA.G04

I meant to also mention in my original post that my graphics card is an NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 710

I've got a dual monitor setup with the second monitor (a non-acer) connected via the DVI off the graphocs card. I've tried the system with the second monitor temporarily removed (from the graphhics card connector) in order to test whether it might have been creating some sort of problem, but the results were unchanged — no sound out of the Acer monitor.
    Hello,
Thanks. I confirm that your monitor doesn't have built-in speakers but you should have an audio output for external speakers or a headphone.

    Hello,
Could you give me the first ten characters of the monitor serial number (S/N) and also the part number (P/N)?
