WiFi 6 card compatibility with R5-471t

Has anyone tried to install an Intel AX200NGW or Killer AX1650 into their Aspire R14 R5-471T yet?  I picked up an Asus AX88U WiFi 6 router recently and its awesome, was hoping to try to replace the existing WLAN card on my laptop to take advantage of the speeds.  From what I can tell the slot is keyed correctly and they both are designed to work best with an Intel chipset which this board does have.  I just haven't found anyone that has said they've done it without issues.  I'm also running Linux Mint 19.3 so I want to limit the number of issues I have with this upgrade.

Also I saw while searching the Google machine someone has found out that NVMe drives are also keyed correctly for the SSD M.2 slot.  I assume there is no point in using an NVMe since this is Serial ATA and will not go any faster than its chipset will allow.  Anyone have any experience with that?

Although the slot is keyed such that an NVMe card will fit, the slot isn't fast enough to run the NVMe drive, installing one is likely to not work at all, or almost work but give odd errors.

Thanks Billsey, that's exactly what I thought about the SSD but wanted confirmation!  Never hurts to do a sanity check!

Do you by any chance have any experience with my main question RE: use of an Intel AX200NGW WLAN card in this laptop?  From what I was able to find after posting this message a few other community posts ask this question with different laptops utilizing the Intel 6200U CPU(same generation hardware) in a Swift series laptop.  According to those threads it did work with little issue on WIndows 10.  I imagine that it would be a similar experience however the Aspire R14 mainboard is likely not the same thus success is not guaranteed.

I have a Intel AX200.NGWG.NV I picked up a couple of weeks ago, but haven't yet installed it. I'm currently working on some teething problems with the Netgear Nighthawk Mesh system I'm using and older machines. Most devices are constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. :(
