Press and hold the power button till the laptop completely shuts off. Then remove the charger. Then insert and hold a paperclip into the battery reset pinhole on the bottom of the machine. Then while still holding the paperclip, press the power button for about 10 seconds. Then try to turn the machine back on. Jack E/NJ

OK. Turn it off again. Then press and hold the ALT+F10 keys. Then while still holding the two keys,  press the power button to turn the machine back on. A recovery screen should appear as in the video below. Choose the option to try to save your personal files. Jack E/NJ

No luck :/ did as you recommended. First comes up Please Wait under the Acer logo. Stays like that for few minutes and the restart. Whe the screen  comes back up it says Prepairing AutomaticRecovery. Stays like that for few minutes and the restart. Third time the the screen comes on, the white circle spins and nothing.

Think I will take it in tomorrow.

Turn it off once again. Press and hold the F2 key. Then press the power button to turn it  back on. The BIOS menu should appear. Is the hard drive visible in BOTH the BIOS Information tab and Boot tab? Jack E/NJ

Who set this machine up as a single RAIDed HDD with optane acceleration? This is very unusual and doesn't make too much sense for this model. Jack E/NJ

    (1) Please show a phone image of the BIOS Main tab.
    (2) Did this issue happen suddenly for no apparent reason?

Go to the BIOS Advanced tab. In the SATA configuration, is there an option listed for IRST with Optane or something similar? If not, what do you see listed? Jack E/NJ

    In the Sata configuration there:
"Sata Port 0  and Sata Port 1 and it says Enabled next to both of them. Nothing about IRST with Optane

Can you contact the reseller to see if they can provide you with a recovery USB media for this particular setup? A RAID HDD with Optane card acceleration is not normal for this model according to its specs that I have.

If it was my machine and the reseller can't provide the recovery media, I would temporarily remove the old HDD and optane card for safe keeping of the personal files that are on the HDD. Then install a new 1 or 2TB 2.5" HDD or SSD (they're very inexpensive these days) and install a generic Win10 version using Microsoft's free USB media creation tool without RAID or Optane. Then transfer your personal files and programs from the old HDD to the new HDD using an 2.5"HDD-to-USB cable adapter (less than $20USD).

Then you could use the old 2TB HDD for additional storage or backup through the USB port. Frankly, the 16GB Optane card isn't worth very much and really has little to no effect on newer 2.5" drives especially SSDs.

Go to this link. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10  to create Win10 usb installation media. Jack E/NJ
