Hi, trying to connect my N17Q5 to my Sony Bravia TV through a HDMI cable and adaptor, converting it to a USB-C.  On the display part of settings, there is no Mirror Internal Display option so cannot get my Chromebook screen onto my TV. Does anyone have any tips? Have tried amending the screen resolution  and also powering off and connecting the HDMI then, but still nothing. Thanks!

Sorry. According to the specs that I have, the USBC port supports displayport output only, not HDMI output. So if the Bravia only has hdmi input, you'd need an active USBC displayport to hdmi adapter. A passive USBC to HDMI adapter won't work.  Jack E/NJ

Hi JackE. Thanks for the information and I had no idea that there was a difference. Looks like I'll need an active adaptor then. I only want it to get Disney Plus from my Chromebook onto my TV!

Your other option is to purchase a wireless chromecast adapter for the TV. About $35

You then install the free Google cast extension on the chromebook. That then wirelessly sends the screen to the chromecast adapter and into the TV set.
