Hey all i have a problem with my laptop, recently i was getting bad fps in game and i notice that my cpu was locked at 0.78 ghz and general performance of windows was slow. I did so research and i found that some people had this problem when plugging in hdmi some were able to solve it but only temporarily. When i put the laptop to sleep and resume the clock speed goes up for a while then goes back to 0.78 ghz. The right fan works fine and i believe the left is ok but it only spins for 1 sec and stop and spins 1 sec and repeat. Could it be a hardware problem or could it be fixed ? Oh i forgot the mention i have bypass the locked 0.78 ghz by removing bd prochot with a program and use intel extreme utility tool to down clock the cpu to 2.5 ghz but even then it gets hot and i wanna be able to fix it if it can

You can exchange the whole cooling unit with the fans for less than a 30$ https://www.cdsparts.com/p-7525-acer-aspire-v-nitro-vn7-591-vn7-591g-laptop-cpu-fan-heatsink.aspx

    Look for a P/N -  60.MQLN1.032

Those are for a VN7-591G i have a VN7-791G, i dont think it would work. Also my fans are working its just that its not spinning constantly, it just spins 1 sec and turn off and spin 1 sec turn over and over. I thought it would be a software issue so i reinstalled windows but it still wasnt fix so it could be a hardware problem like maybe the cpu fan controller chip needs replacing because the gpu fan works fine. I dont want to sell buy on this laptop because its already old but working what if i jump the cpu fan connector to the gpu, would it work and i would be able to control the fan speed with NoteBook Fan Control software. Would this work ?

Sorry, my bad, the correct part  numbers are here: https://www.zandparts.com/en/partfinder/Acer/Notebook/Aspire/VN7-791G
As for the fan control you can try but on the newer models it is possible only with Acer sw like NitroSense and PredatorSense. If you have advanced options in bios available for you you can even adjust your own fan curve. For the newer models that`s not possible withoud bios mod.

i am able to control fan speeds with this program https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc but i am only able to control the gpu fan and and not the cpu fan because i think the controller chip is faulty, But if i jump the controller wire from the cpu fan to the gpu fan wire should i be able to control both fans with the gpu fan controller ?

As stated you can try, but I am not sure if that is going to work on a laptop.

Ok so today I open up the laptop and switched the right fan to the left and the left fan to the right and it turns out my left was really bad because the right fan works fine on the left side but the left fan does the same thing on the right side. But I think that may have caused the laptop to not turn on now. I am get blue lights but no display. The laptop charges because I see the orange light for charging. I have reseated the ram, I tried new ram, I tried resetting the cmos battery nothing works. Could it be that the bios got corrupted and it would POST. What do you think I should do now.

My suggestion is to get one new fan and go to electronics repair shop to replace the capacitor.

I got it fixed I jumped the solder and it worked the screen displays. Now I just need to buy the fan and it should be in good working order. Thanks for the suggestions.
