Hello,
I own Acer Veriton X2611G motherboard which I've paired with QuadCore Intel Core i7-3770, 3400 MHz (34 x 100).
My problem is: This processor is promoted to be 3.4MHz with Max Turbo Frequency3.90 GHz. How do I achieve these 3.9MHz?
As far as I know, there is an option in the BIOS called "intel® turbo boost technology" which you can enable or disable. Well, I have no such option.
Should I update BIOS to a newer version if there is any? My current version is P21-A1 date 01/10/2013 .

There is no problem turbo boost will only activate when there is demand for high performance.
Play games then check cpu frequency
(Make sure your are using high performance power plan)

    Problem solved?
Click on yes in that comment if problem solved
The problem isn't solved. Do I run the latest BIOS version for this motherboard or there is a newer one?
And what the newer version fixes?

    Wait a second
Right click on battery icon in taskbar→power option→click on change plan settings (The right side of the high performance powerplan)→change advanced settings→expand processor power management
Now, expand minimum processor state and set 100% on plugged in
Again, expand maximum processor state and set 100% on plugged in

    Now apply→ok→play your game
(Note-turbo boot only activate when there is demand for high performance also male sure high performance powerplan is selected)

    Both are set to 100%.
On the screenshot which I uploaded earlier you can see that there is a stress test running as well.
    Any other suggestions?
  • hibernate the computer and wake it up again. then make sure to activate the turbo booster.

@egydiocoelho Hello, as I said there is NO SUCH OPTION IN MY BIOS.
    Thanks
  • Yes, I know that. As I said before, try hibernating the computer and then turn it on again and check the task manager to see if the clock increases.

Max turbo boost speed it can be only achieved on one single core working which that will never happen ppl think the cpu will achieve the turbo speeds please read the Intel specs about turbo boost technology and how it works in can't do anything about it it's automatic the technology its built into the cpu itself it only turbo boosts a bit when needed to and the speed will depend on how many cores are used at the same time
