Acer Predator G6-710 RTX GPU upgrade concerns

I have owned a late 2015 model of the Acer Predator G6-710 since mid-2016, and right now am hoping to pick up an RTX 2070 Super GPU to swap out my current GTX 970. I have never performed an upgrade to the PC before, so it is just as it was when I purchased it.

The current 970 GPU appears to be a 'blower' card, based on my limited knowledge and a bit of research. It comes in at around 243 mm in height including the bracket. The model of 2070 Super I'm looking to buy is a dual-fan "GALAX GeForce® RTX 2070 Super EX (1-Click OC)", which measures at 295 mm with the bracket.

Following a sizeable research period for a first-time hardware upgrade, I found that it should be compatible with my system, as I have an i7 6700K, and my PSU meets the minimum recommended wattage. However as I opened the case, I noticed that a lot of wiring passes down between the GPU and the HDD bays, which don't offer much flex and will possibly result in the GPU not fitting in the case, as most of the 2070 Super cards I am looking at are anywhere between 50 and 60 millimetres longer than the 970 I currently have installed. I made some minor attempts to remove the wires from their braces and tuck the wiring between the motherboard and the back of the GPU to allow for a slightly taller GPU to pass under the HDD slot casing, but I still have some obstruction from the thicker cables that don't have as much give. My question is if there is any way for me to reroute the wires to make more room, or if I shouldn't take the risk? I have checked the UserBenchmark website and I have seen that there are people with RTX cards in the same model of PC, so I'm not sure if there is a solution that I'm not seeing. Would be grateful if I can do something about it, because it's likely that this'll be the only upgrade I'll perform on it before buying a new PC altogether. I could send my PC to a technician to perform some kind of redone cable management, but if I could do it myself with little trouble I would prefer to do that to keep the budget down.

You can reroute the auxiliary OEM GPU PS wires and the black cable that is a SATA HDD cable but, does the "GALAX GeForce® RTX 2070 Super EX (1-Click OC)" GPU fit under the HDD gage? As the GALAX RTX 2070 looks allot thicker to me than the OEM 970 GPU. Its not a matter of the overall length it’s a matter of the thickness that you should be concerned about with the GALAX RTX 2070 as from your photos there is not much room there to squeeze the GALAX RTX 2070 into that space!

All PS wires can be rerouted (if they are long enough?) but if you haven’t got the space then you will have to modify the HDD cage (maybe cut one bay off the bottom?) to make the GALAX RTX 2070 fit. There is no magic fix if it don’t fit!

ok i'm in a similar position however i plan on upgrading to the rtx 2060 from the nvidia gtx 970
