Swift 5 Microphone interference whilst charging

Figured this out after complaints about my audio quality during conference calls. I recorded myself with the supplied power adaptor plugged in and removed and the difference is stark. With the adaptor plugged in there is an obvious interference with audio recording. It sounds like a really bad line. With the power removed, no problems at all, 100% clear.

I tried moving rooms and different power points to check for consistency, best I managed was it only gets inference 50% of the time the power is connected.

Given we're in the age of working remotely this is important to function correctly. I'm not sure where to start though, is it an issue with the power supply or the laptop?

More likely it's an issue with the building wiring. Sometimes you can clean things up by plugging into a surge arrester or UPS, sometimes you have to disconnect from a surge arrester or UPS. :) Is there anything else plugged into the same circuit, like a printer?

I figure it’s to do with my AC on the same circuit. Works fine on a different circuit. Charging through USBC is fine too weirdly.
