    If the BIOS boot section is still intact---a big if at this point---you have no choice but to either gain access to the jumper under the RAM module or sever/desolder one of the cmos cell's mainboard connectors so you can short its mainboard connectors for a much longer period of time. Right now I'm guessing the mod is somehow preventing the boot section from seeing the stick as a virtual FDD since the boot section can only read from an FDD. I'm guessing that it's also being prevented from seeing the discrete graphics as a virtual integrated adapter since the boot section doesn't natively support PCIe graphics.

    If it was mine, I'd wait till I got or borrowed a soldering iron or gun from a friend and remove one of the coin battery terminals. The other option would be to actually cut the terminal, then try to clip or tape it back together after shorting its mainboard terminals.
