Hello all, the question pretty much describes my problem, its only when I am gaming or doing 3D rendering and CAD that the battery goes down. The power brick is also really hot, so hot that if you hold it for a couple seconds you will get burned. The laptop is about 2 years old. I have tested two different outlets in my house and neither of them seem to make a difference which leads me to believe that the charger may be at fault, but this is only a recently occurring problem so I am not sure.

Hey buddy, from your description I would say too charger is faulty. Don't wait, order new one, check on the back of laptop should be 65W or 90W (V x A), buy genuine, don't risk with replacement charger, they will kill your laptop.

    Regards

It doesn't say anything about watts on the back but It does say 19v and then 3.42 A. Watts is equal to Amps*Volts which results in 64.98 Watts so a 65w charger is probably best. Thanks for your speedy reply.
