Technical support questions for specific Acer computer

There was a question about what SSD types and sizes were supported for a particular laptop at Amazon under Q/As. At first an Acer employee responded by saying the laptop was not serviceable by end users. Some time later after the same question was asked several times an Acer employee finally responded by giving what type and size SSDs were supported.

I bought that laptop and wanted to install a larger SDD than what was given in the answer. I called Acer customer support to see if I could get a definitive answer. I could not get anyone to talk to there that was knowledgeable enough to answer such a question.

I ended up just trying a larger SSD than was given in the specs. It works fine.

I know I could have asked here but how would anyone know the answer unless they had some inside knowledge?
