Hi all, I am having some sever issues of battery draining while gaming. While playing warzone my battery (whilst plugged in just keeps draining and draining)
I have tried with and without my external devices plugged in and still the same - I have completed a re install of windows twice and still the same - i have tried optimised and un optimised now as i'm aware this laptop should drain to about 95% and then begin to trickle charge again? Well after playing for a few hours the other day mine was down to 40% before I stopped and let it re charge.

Today with some guidance from @HotelHero i have conducted some further experiments - I downloaded furmark and intel burn and had them both run at the same time with just my cooling pad plugged in, fans set to auto with no cool boost on - I also tried with fans set to max - temp wise it's doing great after an extended period of time temps on CPU are averaging around 88-90 mark and GPU around the 72-79ish mark. Now whilst doing this I have had throttlestop open (a fresh one with no undervolt or changes made to monitor if it's being throttled or thermal throttling) now there has been absolutely no thermal throttling however the throttle next to it has pretty much had a dot in it all the time and the CPU is running from 2.6-2-9 which I guess means i'm almost constantly power throttling? I have also conducted a test with processor management in windows set to 99% to stop turbo mode and similar results. Temp wise everything seems absolutely fine and you guessed it yes my battery began to drain again.

So i'm just looking for some guidance really on what I do here.. Acer have asked me to send the laptop in when I mentioned the battery was draining whilst gaming - i have asked them if they can supply a higher wattage charger as to me after todays experiment it is seeming that the PSU is not supplying enough juice to power once the cpu and gpu are being utilized alot together? Now bear in mind whilst gaming for extended periods of time on warzone the temps are pretty much the same as todays stress test and gpu utilization is very similar when gaming a little less on processor and gpu but temps are roughly in line in fact i'd say they are hotter when i am gaming but maybe because i do that for hours at a time with no break for the laptop.

So does anyone know why the throttle box is constantly ticked in throttlestop and why my cpu is always downclocked to the aforementioned speeds and why the battery is draining so severly?

Is requesting a new PSU likely to help with the constant power throttling and battery drain i am experiencing or is something else? it's driving me mental now and I can't work out whats wrong!

Thanks in advance you lovely people - sorry @HotelHero for the amount of facebook notifications you may have gotten with all my replies :D

    Good evening neon989 !

There is absolutely nothing wrong with battery losing charge while the device is being used plugged into the power outlet for high performance.
This is because the system uses part of the battery power to calibrate internal voltages.
Values can easily drop by up to 40%.

    But load again.

I recommend that you reset and calibrate your battery.
