Is this really necessary?  Or is it just a sales gimmick to pedal future sales and the software just an unnecessary drain on the booting up process.

@SpeedKingHighwayStar it is not necessary but acer care centre comes with many features
Acer Care Center is a software application that provides an overview of your system information, hardware diagnostic tools, software updates and much more. Detailed information about this program and its benefits are explained in our video.

Thanks for your prompt response.  And thanks for providing the video - very convenient to put it with your answer thanks.

Yes it seems rather unnecessary.  To me it is as unnecessary as Amazon's "Alexa", not as bizarre as "Alexa" but to me just as unnecessary.

I'm a great believer in "keep... it... simple!!" and having "less-to-go-wrong" - the problems others seem to be having with the so called Care Centre software stalling or not loading or causing crashes etc I can do without.  The way I see it is if it was necessary it would be an integral part of the machine and it isn't.

I will therefore not be loading this.

    Many thanks for your answer.

"Crashing problem" - No I don't have a crashing problem and I've never installed Acer Care Centre so wouldn't need to re-install something I never had.  I just prefer not to download it at all - I don't see the need for it.  It works fine and with an i7-10510U processor, 8GB DDR4 ram, and 1TB SSD, it boots up in about 1 second and i'm happy with it as it is.

    Thanks
