TM5742-382G32Mnss Is the info on the official acer datasheet legit?

I have a TravelMate 5742 - or
TM5742-382G32Mnss
according to the official datasheet ( https://www.acer.com/datasheets/2011/4876/5742/LX.TZ90C.028.html)  which I looked up using my laptop's SNID.
In this datasheet, it says that my laptop must have 2GB DDR3 1066 MHz PC3-8500 Ram - with 2 slots and upgradable  to a max of 8 GB.
I opened my laptop's case to check the ram modules there and I found a 2GB 1333MHz PC3-10600 module. How is this possible?

It is notable that since 2012 when I bought my laptop , never was it open or needed any repair at all. And it is perfectly working, but all I wanted was to make the upgrade of an extra 4GB so now I really don't know. Should I buy RAM according to the datasheet or one similar to the module I have installed?
Is the maximum RAM in the datasheet true?

There are two memory slots under that door, the slots overlap each other some. Are you running a 32bit OS or a 64bit OS? If a 32bit you should only put a second 2GB module in, since the maximum memory map for a 32bit OS is 4GB. If you have a 64bit OS installed I'd seriously consider replacing the existing 2GB module with two 4GB modules to make 8GB total. It won't be very much more expensive than a single 4GB module and will give a faster overall experience. Note that you can do 6GB, just put the 4GB in the second slot (the one that is empty now). You also might think really seriously about replacing the original HDD with a 2.5" SATA SSD. The largest HDD these units shipped with was a 650GB (IIRC) and replacing that with a 1TB SSD would be another huge difference in speed, especially when booting,
