Good afternoon! I have an ACER Nitro 5 AN515-54-58TJ. There is the following problem - Wake On LAN does not work. Bios updated to the latest 1.28. On an old Acer laptop with this feature, everything is fine. Linux is installed, if it matters. Very inconvenient, I bought for work and long use, so that the lid would not open and run from the phone. In BIOS, this option is enabled. What am I doing wrong???

    Good Morning Anideth !

    Which Linux distro is installed?
Do you really know how to configure a system to work in WOL?

Which application are you using on the client and server?
    What status is setting?
Is WOL properly configured in the advanced options of the network card?
Did you check if the installed network card has protocol support? (does not depend only on Bios)
Is it plugged into a power outlet?
Is there another device already connected to the local and active network?
WOL via wireless network has practically no native support, being only applicable in wired network.
Via wireless only if the card is supported and must know advanced network protocols.

If you are testing and do not yet have advanced knowledge, I suggest that iterate much more deeply on the subject.

Probably. What was the OS on the old ACER. Is the new ACER dual boot? The LAN must not sleep when the lid is closed. Jack E/NJ

    Thanks for the answer.
On the old acer, OS Xubuntu 16.04 is installed. LAN sleeps with a closed and open cover ((the router does not sleep of course. The new acer with a single boot Xubuntu 18.04. I will attach a screenshot of the settings
