So this started happening about 4 days ago. Laptop is about a year and a half old. While i play CS-GO my processor heats up to 94 C. Is this an OK temperature? Haven't really measured it before so idk what it was previously.
Second while I play i keep my power adapter in for best performance, but lately it feels like it isn't powering like it used to. One example is that it just can't finish the last 5% of battery power while I play. It didn't do that a week ago or ever. What would be a reason to this?
NOTICE: I know while I play that the laptop needs more juice but this never happened before and the game is not some kind of power monster so it makes no sense. I don't need my full processor performance for my games so can I make it a bit weaker so it doesn't heat up so much?

Thank you!

No, 94*C is NOt OK. You need to re-paste the CPU/GPU with ArcticMX4 or Kryonaut. The old paste is likely dried out. You should NOT try to go below 5% battery level as this is a critical low level below which the battery can be permanently damaged. Jack E/NJ

@JackE I think he was saying it won't charge the last 5%, in other words it won't charge past 95%

andylb  Prolly right. But 95% sounds pretty good to me too.  :)   Jack E/NJ

@JackE @andylb OK! I will do that as soon as I can reach my retailer as the laptop is still under warranty so I can't just open it. Plus all of this quarantine stuff is preventing me from getting those paste brands but will try to find them.

But I found a way to prevent this but need your opinion if it is a smart idea. In other words, if it will damage something. Feel like I should ask you guys.
Under my Windows advanced battery settings I put my maximum processor performance to 99%. It is more than enough for my games and it seems that it is preventing my laptop from going to full Turbo Boost (because my Intel core has a Turbo Boost of up to 4.1 GHz) and heating my laptop to that ~90 C mark. It doesn't go past ~70 C now.

I was keeping track of this with Linux Extreme Tuning Utility and HWMonitor.

Putting your processor to 99% won't hurt anything and if that is enough to run you games and programs everything is fine
