Currently i've had my acer xfa240 for 1 to 2 years and i've noticed there is a huge amount of screen "burning" if i leave my monitor on at about half brightness for any amount of time over 6 hours a day the icons or whatever i mightve been playing / doing is beginning to burn or stay on the monitor for hours after the app is closed. for instance i accidentally left my monitor on overnight and the desktop icons are now faintly showing in darker backgrounds e.g.(In a games loading screen/back background). Are there any solutions or am i going to need to replace my monitor?

I think it's common issue if you left screen on for hours. I had the same problem - left screen with some folders opened up for hours stayed "burned". After many many months it's quite unvisible, but if i look very carefully i can still see it's traces. Guess if you want to cempletly remove it you must replace screen, but i am not 100% sure.
