Hi all

This laptop was bought 2014 and the numbers of hours used can be counted on one hand, since then it has been laying in a storage box, unplugged of course.
The battery icon is saying "No battery is detected" and i have tried the following tip from link below.
https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34843#_ga=1.128285324.1656269061.1457989242

Even if the laptop is 5 years old, it has more or less never been used or been plugged in, is there a chance that the battery has "died" while being in storage?

Any tips would help, thanks alot!

Don't waste any more time on this. Return it to the vendor as defective for an exchange or refund before the vendor's RMA policy period expires. Usually only a few weeks. ACER warranty repair will take longer. Jack E/NJ
