Hi all,
I've a Acer Aspire E5-575G-70G3. I have 2 ssd, one with Ubuntu and one with Windows 10, both installed with UEFI.
When I insert in the internal SSD slot one of the two SSD, the contained SO boots normally, I can work and everything else.
Now, I want to boot the other OS without unmounting the SSD and replacing it but connecting the 2nd SSD with a SATA-USB cable. In this case I try to boot but the other operative system doesn't shows up.
I can browse files seeing the disk as an external device and in the BIOS I can see both disks in the menu that allows to select a UEFI file as trusted. In particular, the internal SSD is listed as HDD0 and the external is listed as USB0. But in the device priority list even if I sort them there are no changes. In F12 boot menu only the internal SSD is listed.
I tried to update grub to see the external windows SSD but boot fails.
I don't know how to solve this problems.

In addition, I've seen some devices that replaces the DVD drive with an additional slot for another internal SSD. Their speed is the same of the primary SSD slot or slower?

Thanks for yout help,
Giulio
