Hi all,
I have an issue with my Acer laptop and I hope you can help. I installed a new update for Windows 10 (unsure which one), and when I tried to play a game (older one), the screen froze. Upon restart, it showed a blue screen and the message "critical service failed". From then on, it constantly restarted itself. After a couple of days, when I revisited the laptop to try to fix it, it did not do anything anymore, except show the battery lights and the keyboard lighting. I have tried in vain to get the computer to start.
I checked previous posts with similar issues:

- I removed the battery + pressed 'start' button +/- 30-50 seconds. Did not work.
- I removed the HDD + battery. Did not work.
- I swapped the RAM from one RAM gate to the other. Did not work.
- I checked the parts on burn area's and general status and they all seemed to be fine.
- I plugged an external screen through HDMI. Other screen never received any input. Did not work.
- I tried to start the computer with various Fn combinations (Esc, F2, F12 and probably more). Did not work.
At this point I am unsure what else I can do. The initial "critical service failed" issue was supposedly a software issue (according to info I found on fora and youtube solutions). But now the pc does not seem to do anything except blink some lights. Does anyone have other tips beside the ones I already tried?
I hope you are able to help. Thank you in advance!
