Help!!! My battery stopped working.

I was playing dota when suddenly there was a powercut and my laptop turned off. Now my laptop won't turn on without plugging in the charger. The battery is fully charged but it wont turn on. When I remove the charger, the laptop turns off. Is this a hardware issue or software. When i tried playing dota plugged in, it shuts down as soon as the game opens... Please help!!!

Sorry but If you were using your laptop without a Surge protector then you may have damaged the MOBO. Always use a Surge protector, its standard computer practice

bizen92 im affraid that its most probably a hardware issue i suggest you if still under warranty to send it back to get it checked but of course they will know exactly but if this issue is considered user self damage (this includes not using surge protectors, bad sockets not properly grounded, dropping it, break anything somehow for lack of care) the warranty will not cover these kind of issues if this is proven by them good luck
