The touchpad of my Acer aspire 3 has recently been not working properly, as it is constantly highlighting things as if someone is constantly clicking down the left button. This means I can’t move the cursor without dragging things around, clicking things, and creating blue highlight boxes on the desktop. When I start up the laptop, it is fine for a few seconds, then starts doing it again. It’s very frustrating and means I have to use the Tab button for everything.

I have tried resetting my laptop settings and uninstalling old and installing new touchpad drivers, but nothing seems to work.

Please help me with this it’s very frustrating!

Thanks in advance,
Kirsty

    Good evening KirstyMcNally !

As you have already tried to install drivers and the system itself, it is possible that the touch is damaged internally.
Is your device still under warranty?
