just onboxed a brand new TC-885.  Managed to find the USB dongle inside the mouse batter compartment - mouse works fine but keyboard doesn't.  Is there a separate keyboard dongle somewhere?  Checked the batteries etc but no luck.  Light comes on briefly when you put the new batteries in, but nothing else.

Hi, Sorry to hear about your issue. Check the below steps. I hope it will be helpful for you, they also contain videos so that you can try the steps in a easier manner.

     1) First check if the mouse and the keyboard are paired in a proper way by following the below steps.

If your wireless mouse and keyboard are not working, you should first check the batteries to make sure they are good. If the batteries are good but your mouse and keyboard are still not working, use the steps below to pair them to the computer.

    Pair the wireless mouse:

    1. Power the mouse off and insert the battery.
    2. Insert the wireless receiver into a USB port on the computer.
    3. Place the mouse close to the wireless receiver.
    4. Press all buttons on the mouse (left+middle+right) while you toggle the mouse on.
    5. Release the buttons after 1 second to complete the process.
    6. Repeat steps 1-5 if your mouse did not pair.

    Pair the wireless keyboard:

    1. Insert the wireless receiver into a USB port on the computer.
    2. Press and hold the F2 + F3 + F4 keys while you insert the battery. The keyboard will enter test mode with the red LED on.
    3. Release the F2 + F3 + F4 keys. The red LED will turn off.
    4. Place the keyboard close to the wireless receiver.
    5. Press the number 3 key on the keyboard to pair it to your computer.
    6. Press the Windows (Image icon_Windows8_keypng) key to test the keyboard.
    7. Repeat steps 1-6 if your keyboard did not pair.

     2) Trouble-Shooting Steps :

If you are experiencing issues with your wireless keyboard and mouse not working properly, perform the following steps to troubleshoot the wireless keyboard and mouse.

    1. Make sure the USB connector from the receiver is properly plugged into a USB port on the computer. Some systems ship with the receiver already preinstalled in the unit itself. Please check your mouse to see if there is a receiver inside of the battery compartment door.
    2. Make sure wireless keyboard is not on a metallic surface.
    3. Ensure that the receiver is 8-inches from other electrical devices.
    4. Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port to ensure that the USB port is working properly.
    5. Check the batteries in the keyboard and mouse to make sure they are installed correctly.
    6. Test the batteries to ensure that they still have a charge.
    7. Verify the On/Off switch on the keyboard and mouse are switched to On.
    8. Some receivers, keyboards, and mice may have a connect button. If so, follow the steps below:
      1. Plug the USB receiver into a USB port on your computer.
      2. Press the connect button on top of the receiver and the button will blink.
      3. Press the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard to activate the wireless connection.
      4. Press the connect button on top of the receiver and the button will blink.
      5. Press the connect button on the bottom of the mouse to activate the wireless connection.
