Hi I have helios 500 with i7 and 1070 around 2 months ago I noticed that when I switch off my laptop with battery 100% and next day I turn laptop on battery drops to 95% and when im playing games with battery not beeing 100% the battery % goes down even with AC plugged in. When battery is 100% then when Im playing games battery stays 100% all time its only when its not 100%then is going down . I got that laptop from currys pc so it was still on 1 year factor warrenty. I took it to them and some company called "Team know how" was about to fix it so after a week got phone call from them saying its faulty battery so they ordered new one. Took them 2 weeks to get new battery and yesterday I got my laptop back with battery changed that was what I was told at currys pc. But again have same problem batter wont charge while playing games and after i charged it 100% and turned on today battery was on 86% so over night drained 15%. It never happend when I bought laptop.Any ideas what is wrong?

    Good evening Schnaz !

I haven't really detected any real problems, just issues of functioning and lack of configuration.

Current ion-lithium batteries lose their charge when not in use.
The value will depend on the hardware set (if the device has USBs that supply power, for example), time off, proper calibration of cells, dump of power and updated controllers.

The issue of load falling when the device is in high performance (like games for example) is perfectly normal too.

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable'. Scroll down and uncheck the box for fast startup. That's it. Jack E/NJ

Schnaz well in my view its normal for the battery to discharge a bit while shutting down and back on you should let it charge to 100% after you restart it (which sometimes it wont because you have to let it discharge a bit more for the adapter to kick in) and you wont have any issues also the battery will only try to charge under 95% from 95 to 100 will only trickle charge and it takes time this its a feature to not damage the battery with overcharging and bare in mind just in case youre using too many usb devices/external display the battery might drain even more quickly even if youre on AC as the adapter tries to provide enough power to the cpu/gpu on high demanding tasks/games and cant so the battery has to kick in to help the adapter thats the main purpose of the battery anyway
