    OK. Unplug the charger again. Disconnect the battery pack again. Remove the CMOS coin cell again. If you can reach it, short the triangular jumper gaps shown in the image below with a screwdriver for about 10 seconds. If you can't reach it easily, the short the CMOS cell terminals on the mainboard for 10 seconds. Then replace the coin cell, re-connect the battery pack. Plug the charger in. Try it again.     Thanks JackE  it worked, but if i take the AC plug off, it shuts off and it does the same thing again, and i have to open it up again and do it again. maybe battery ploblems ? short battery ? the PC shows the battery is charged, but as soon as i take the AC plug off it shuts off instantly

    Yes. That strongly suggests the battery pack can no longer hold a very big charge. How old is the battery? Jack E/NJ
