Consider these factors before you upgrade or replace your motherboard:

Power Connectors – Get top-quality connectors to allow a smoother electrical current flow that provides power to a device. You’ll need to change the connector according to the design of the motherboard.

Memory Support – The computer’s motherboard determines the RAM capacity. Some motherboards have dual in-line memory slots that allow more than one RAM while others have a single slot. Some common varieties of RAM are DDR2 SDRAM, DDR3 SDRAM, and DDR4 SDRAM.

Hard Disk Support – Get an SSD that has SATA connector, because most motherboards allow SATA. However, in the last ten years, the SATA3 SSDs have been universally compatible with almost any motherboard. The SSD is also a massive upgrade for any PC.

System Case – Most people forget to change their PC case when they upgrade motherboards. Make sure to get a case that fits your new motherboard and not the other way around.
