I have a Spin SP513-51. The only drive now in the laptop is a 256GB Toshiba SSD, an M.2 type, the THNSNK256GVN8. As best as I can determine, that SSD drive works via a Serial ATA/600 interface. I'm no expert on these drives, but I do understand that there are varying controllers for varying M.2 SSDs. This leads to two problems.

First, how do I determine which M.2 SSDs will work with my machine?  And second, how in the world do you clone an existing drive's content onto a new SSD when the laptop has just one drive in it, and that one is an M.2 style device?

Thanks for the community's help.
