Our company is upgrading all of our PC's to Windows 10 64-bit OS systems (1909 - 18363.592).  We are using Think Center M720t type 10SR's as the base system.  The issue that we are running into is that all of the PC's that are using Acer V246HL monitors, are experiencing the monitors randomly going black for 3~5 seconds and then coming back throughout the day.  We are using HDMI connectors, the "latest and greatest drivers", and Quadro P2000 video cards with 2 or 3 monitors.  However, the issue happens when we use just the motherboard connections too.  Cables have been properly installed, multiple new cables have been used, and multiple different brands of cables have been tried as well.  I personally am using 3 monitors, have tried 5 new monitors, and all 5 monitors have the issue.  We have tried other monitor models, but they do not seem to have the issue; just the V246HL's.  Has anyone come across a solution; other than using a different model?

    Hi cneuhofer,

Try to remove all the cable including the power cable from the monitor and press and hold the power button for 30sec. later try to change the refresh rate of the monitor.  Check the link below.

    Hey Christy1,

Thanks, for responding.  I followed the instructions that you provided, but it didn't help with the screen randomly going black for 3~5 seconds and then coming back up as if nothing had happened.

The link to changing the refresh rate seems like it would have more to do with the monitor flickering due to cursor movement, etc.  What we are experiencing can happen maybe a few times a day and doesn't seem to have an identifiable cause for why it's happening.

    Thanks again for your help.

monitor is just plug and play device. there is no much troubleshooting steps to be done on this. try to reinstalled the drivers and installed it from acer site. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
also check with the display drivers on the unit.

We have already tried that, (a couple of times before posting), and didn't have any success.  That is why we are so perplexed to why they are acting the way that they are.  Maybe it is time to contact Lenovo to see if they have been having issues with this model specifically.  Thanks again.

I have been having the same problem and have not found a successful solution yet. Has anyone had any luck resolving this issue?

No resolution, but I have more data to add  … the monitor sound also goes out when the monitor goes black.  It's like there is a bad (capacitor/resistor/something) that is basically shutting the whole monitor down.  We've had to end up not purchasing this model anymore.
