Hi,

setup is as follows:
Monitor via HDMI to HDMI-Switch-Output. On of the HDMI-Switch Inputs to the Docking-Station (Icybox Notebook Docking Station) and this one via USB to my Notebook (Dell Precision 3530).
My Notebook recognizes the Monitor and changes it settings to use a 2nd monitor, but my monitor doesn't display something(input is on HDMI).
If connected from the HDMI-Switch directly to the Notebook, it works.
At the office, it works with this docking station and the setup Monitor > HDMI >Docking Station > USB > Notbook (but different Monitors).

Additionally my monitor is connected via DP to my Desktop PC if this matters

What am I doing wrong? Is it the combination HDMI-Switch - Docking Station?

    Hi!!

    @WhiskyCola

    I would like to clarify that, you have connected Dell laptop to the docking station using USB cable. It is USB C port type cable? Please confirm the version.

    Which docking station do you have? I know some of the Dell docks have multiple video ports, but can only use one of them.

    Hi,
    no it's not, i didn't think of this, as it works at the office with normal USB 3. Do i need usb-c because of the resolution and framerate of the monitor?
