AN-515-51 Battery Issues

Hey all,

I recently opened up my Acer Nitro 5 (AN-515-51, with the 1050ti) to clean out the fans, and since then it seems like the laptop won't stay on without the AC Adapter plugged in. The laptop shuts down immediately upon removing the adapter, no real delay.I scoured the forums here already looking for solutions and tried:

Updating the BIOS (I'm up to the most current version)
Doing the battery reset (tried twice now)
Making sure the Interlock Switch was correctly pressed (I tried holding it down and powering it on and it still wasn't booting)
Deleting the Battery device from Windows that people reported as an issue

I'm not sure if it's hardware, because it really seems like everything is screwed down tightly, or software, since it seems like the recent Windows update broke battery usage on some computers.

Any other solutions would be appreciated!

Thanks all!

After you remove the adapter and it shuts down can you start the laptop without the adapter?

Please click YES if I answered your question

I am not an ACER employee
Thank you and have a blessed day  B)

No, I can't. Once I plug in the adapter it starts up fine, but without the adapter it's basically a brick

Also, it seems to register that the battery exists... the device shows up in Device Manager and supposedly I have 91% battery based on the taskbar icon. It doesn't seem to be charging any higher than that, and obviously it isn't going down because...ya know.
