I was wondering if my laptop (Model Number: A515-54-708W) is able to upgrade to a larger battery capacity?
It appears to currently be a 48whr / 4 cell battery, but am I able to purchase and install a battery in the 60-80 whr range and have it be compatible with my laptop to further extend the battery life?

Sorry, the volumetric size of 60-80 whr battery packs are 25-65% larger than the 48 whr. They simply won't fit properly inside the case. It would be more practical to use a separate universal powerbank with barrel plugs like MaxOak makes. Jack E/NJ

@JackE, if @Brian6 plans to use the laptop during trips: Airlines limit battery energy at 100W/hr. max. for hand-carry items so the universal power bank will have be checked-in and even for checked-in suitcases there is a battery limit by most airlines and small 80-100 W/hr. power banks are for mobiles and small gadgets only.0
