Predator PH315-52

An updated version of PredatorSense released that gets rid of 90% of features?!! Why?!! The "newer" version of the predator sense software limits control of the laptop's features to just Fan control and that's it?! makes ZERO sense to me.. pun intended. all the other features such as keyboard rgb backlighting and other settings seem to be just flat out missing! why is this Acer? I literally had to downgrade again just to fix it. Why would Acer update the software only to make it 90% useless to me for this specific laptop? Please I'd love to know how this makes sense at all.

You are referring to version 3002, right? In fact, I think it was a mistake by Acer. See that version 3002 is from 2018:

They probably put the wrong date on the system. The most current version is 3136.

This is for predator 2018 not the 2019 version.

I had same issue.Can you download predator sense for model PH317-52.
That one has 3136 version.

Mine is a Predator PH315-52. Yes that would make sense that they screwed up and somehow have posted an older version on the site where the newer version used to be. I'm wondering if they actually had an updated version beyond the version 3136 but somehow posted an older version? weird. kind of shakes the confidence in the company if they are posting outdated software on their own support site.. geez. really lame lol buuut... it looks like they have since corrected it again... and now the version 3136 is back up? https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7983?b=1 you can understand my confusion with this and perhaps other's as well. okay. the 3136 version is alright, but it would be nice if they updated it a bit as I find that adjusting the custom fan settings doesn't really do much, it still pretty much operates on auto regardless.

also, of note the version that was posted was 3.01.3002 where as the one that is up now is once again at 3.00.3136 the '01' would seem to indicate it should have been an updated version but was instead seemingly a downgrade. The date also had it posted in 2020... will there be an updated version I wonder?

I think there will still be some new versions of the predator sense. However, we have no way of knowing when new versions will become available.

In the meantime for all that are having this issues take a look here https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/570716/latest-predator-sense-working-on-old-h300-models#latest and install the latest H700 version instead until acer fixed the website issue as it was already reported to acer staff they are aware of it 😉

What is going on now? lol well looks like Acer once again has "updated" Predator Sense with yet another older version for some reason? they went from version 3.00.3136 to 3.00.3120? why? I just want to know what the deal is, are you updating? downgrading? what's the deal Acer? latest version is now strangely 3120 now? https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7983 Try installing it and it will tell you you already have a newer version and yet this is supposed to be the latest up to date version on the site? wth. I'm confused in how Acer is operating at this point lol and why not add an "update" feature from within the actual app itself since clearly we cannot depend on the website very much. just sayin.

I don't know if the vanilla forum also manages Acer's main website. However, the acer community website is also experiencing some problems.

Ryan717 as i stated above if you want the latest blue version back go to the thread i gave above and follow the instructions the Acer team are already aware of the issue and would be solved asap this issue so far its only for the PH315-52 support page

I have the latest version. my point is Acer is making this unusually difficult to stay up to date with their own software. error or not, they are a rather large corporation... one would think something like this is fairly simple really lol. I mean come on. either make the software update itself from within the software or come up with a better system on the website. This is 2020 right? This is something nearly every other company has literally gotten figured out decades ago.

robots might as well take over. free people up to actually 'live' lives? and if people have a problem with it, they should ask what kind of lives they are "living" if a robot can entirely replace them...this vid says it all...
