Just started having issues with the above USB mouse. It worked very well for over a year. It now works intermittently - sometimes by changing ports at other times by re-booting and sometimes not at all. I have checked drivers and find that the driver is dated 2006 but last year in June there was a 2017 driver. It seems the newer driver was replaced by an earlier one. Could this be the cause of the problem and how was the driver replaced without warning. I have Norton anti-virus running so don't expect hacking etc or backdoor intrusions etc.
