Hello, recently I have been having some issues with my acer nitro 5 an515-54 laptop. The issues I've been dealing with are power and the gpu. I'll start with my power issues. When I first got the laptop I noticed when gaming without the charger plugged in games would run at 30 fps (which is normal), and 60 fps when plugged in(which is normal). Now recently when I play a game without the charger plugged in it hits 60 fps, and when I'm playing a game with the charger plugged in it goes up to 500+fps in some games causing the pc fans to get lound and run hotter! I've tried making sure nvidia battery boost was enabled , my nvidia power managment is set to global optimal, completely reinstalling drivers, and even preforming a fresh install of windows 10, and tried v sync but is usually doesn't work! Now the pc  drops frames even when its plugged in, and runs hotter sometimes. None of what I've tried has fixed the issue and it's very frustrating. I want the pc to run the same as the day I purchased in 7 months ago! If anyone could help it be much appreciated:(

I'm a little confused because in one place you state that when plugged in certain games run at 500 fps which is unheard of and then you say that it is dropping frames when plugged in, can you clarify please

Please click YES if I answered your question

Thank you and have a blessed day  B)

Yes for example, in nfs pro street I am reaching up to 500 fps without (in game sync) on. Obviously when I turn it on it will cap it at 60, but for some games like tony hawks underground 2 I will drop frames and stutter frequently when playing. I used to be able to play this 15 year old game at 60 fps with no drops at all! Now it will stutter constantly.
