Could adding more RAM cause the battery to not charge? My Nitro 7 (AN715-5-796C) came with 8gb RAM so I added a 16gb card (Crucial brand) to the other slot because I do high demand gaming (namely Cities:Skylines with lots of mods and stuff). When I sent it off to Acer Repair because the batter wasn't charging, I took it out because they said to, otherwise it might not return with the laptop. When I got it back (all Acer did was give me a new charger, if they did more, they didn't put it on the repair invoice), I put the RAM back in and it was working fine for about two weeks before it quit charging again. I tried all the stops they tell you to, the internal battery reset (since it's not removable and doesn't have the pinhole reset), looking in my BIOS for jacked settings and resetting it to defaults, uninstalling the battery drivers, and eventually just resetting the laptop. None of those worked, so in my desperation I took the RAM out, then also disconnected and reconnected the battery to the motherboard and the ac plugin slot's connection too. That still didn't do anything, so I then did a combo of uninstalling the battery drivers and doing the internal battery reset again. That finally worked.

Could the RAM have caused it? When I had taken the RAM out, it didn't initially change anything. I do want more than just 8gb of RAM, so should I try another brand of RAM for 16gb or perhaps go down to just another 8gb?

Any advice appreciated.
