My Nitro 5 AN515-53's GPU fan makes a grating and noisy sound. How would I go about replacing it?

The noise persists throughout fan speed changes, even at the lowest possible speed. I am certain that it is a hardware issue, as the noise can become quieter if I tilt my laptop a certain way. This issue appeared maybe a month or two after I purchased my laptop, but was nowhere near as severe as it is now, thus I had dismissed it. I've tried looking around for the part online, but it seems that most places either don't carry fans for my model, or only carry the CPU fan; are they interchangeable? If this isn't something that I can do myself, could someone let me know if I should send my laptop to a Acer center, or if a normal computer repair shop should be able to do it. I tried reaching out to chat with a representative on the main store page, but the chat buttons literally have no link attached to them. Thank you for you help.

If i were in your place i would go for warranty help instead of paying to local repair shops. As mentioned in the link here acer would cover hardware issues during the warranty time. Try calling them and report the issue.

I agree that if you are in warranty send it in but if your warranty has expired it is quite simple to do it yourself

The video below is for the AN515-51 but the fan assembly is the same

I'm not sure which country you are in but this link is to Acer Parts dealers USA and Canada
