I just received this Chromebook in December.  I did notice a sticker showing that it had a backlit keyboard.  I cannot seem to make it work.  I have plugged it in and used the keyboard shortcut alt+screen brightness to no avail.  Please help!  I want to like this new device but I have used much more user-friendly devices (Surface and Macbook)

Now that  have been moved over here to the Chromebooks section... The back light on the keyboard should light up whenever you press a key, and stay lit for a few seconds afterwards before going out. Is that not working at all, is it not coming on bright enough but still coming on or is it coming on but turning off again too soon after use? The backlight keys only affect the screen brightness, not the keyboard.

@sgilb, I believe yours is a CB715-1W model, there should be a few more characters after that, CB715-1W-xxxx, that define exactly which type yours is. Do you have that info?
