So today I woke up to my Predator Helios 300 not booting up when I pressed the power button. It had been plugged in overnight so it was definitely charged. What would happen was that when the power button was pressed, the keyboard would flash in 5 second intervals and then gradually speed up. I reset the battery and it still didn't work. I called customer service and they said that I would have to ship it out to them so that it could be fixed. A few hours ago, I settle down and got a screwdriver and removed the cover covering the RAM. There are two sticks and I switched places between the two and then when I powered the computer on, the keyboard stopped flashing but the screen was still completely blank. I removed one of the RAM sticks and then turned it back on and boom. The screen turned on and now I am typing this here on my computer. So was the problem the RAM stick that I removed? Another thing that I have noticed is that the fan is not spinning when it is set on auto. It does start to spin when it is set on max. This is extremely confusing and I don't know what to do. Should I still send it over for the fix? Will everything be fine if I just buy a new RAM stick? Why is the fan not working?

DziaShots if it booted when you removed one of the sodimms that would most probably mean that one its faulty (which its a rare case) try the existing in the other slot to make sure its not the slot its faulty also depending on your model you might have a power kill switch by the ram which if not properly pressed when the compartment door its in place it will nor boot now its up to you to send it back or not either way if the issue its one of the ram sodimms you need to replace it probably best sending it back if still on warranty
