Good day,

My laptop is acer predator model PH315-52-78VL

I had this laptop since November 2019,  and today Sunday January 05th 2020, i was using it on battery when I put the ac adapter in. The indicator showed orange to show it was charging however briefly a pop up box said that the battery was low (7%) before it completely it blacked out and turned off.

I tried to turn it back on but nothing would happen. I tried to hold the power button down for 15 secs to reset it and tried to turn it back on however the keyboard was light up blue and the screen would flash before blacking out again.

I don't see a reset pin hole on the bottom of the laptop for a physical reset. Here is a short video of the boot up issue.

Did you charge the battery after it was auto shut down?

No, should I charge it completely before trying again?

Windows will not boot the laptop if its power is below critical levels (that's when it triggers the hibernate/shut down). Charge it up atleast some.

Did you try the battery reset way? Disconnect power, and use a pin to reset battery via the battery keyhole on the underside of the laptop for a few seconds. And then give it a few minutes and try booting up.
If it still fails, try seeing if you can get to BIOS. If you can get to BIOS and the screen stays on, it means something in windows went bad.

XZavyX unless youre performing a battery calibration (which should be done once every 3 months or so if you use it many times on battery only) you should never let the battery go under 10% before recharging it  and i would follow the advice @sri369 posted above but use the power button as your model doesnt have battery pinhole check here ignore the pinhole instructions press/hold the power to discharge/reset and let it rest for awhile for a complete drain of all capacitors i always recommend 2/3h but its up to you then try to boot into bios and reset setup defaults

I have tried to soft rest the battery by holding down the power and it did not work. Eventually I would still have the screen flash briefly when I soft reset the battery via the power button.

I think it might be the ram or the battery but I am unsure.
